All abstracts must be submitted in
English and mode of the submission will be TEXT only at the
time of submission. Submissions by post, email, fax or any other means will
NOT be accepted. Institution / Hospital affiliation and doctor's name in the
title or abstract should not be mentioned and will lead to automatic
rejection. |
3. |
Submissions may be made for the
following categories: i) Free papers (Specialty wise) ii) E-Posters (Specialty wise) iii) E-Videos (Specialty wise) iv) Interesting Cases (Specialty wise) |

5. Abstraction Submissions for Free
Papers/E-Posters/e-Videos/Interesting Cases AUTHORS - FIRST (PRESENTING)
AUTHOR for Free Papers/ E-Posters / E-videos/ Interesting Cases The first author will be the presenting author. The First (Presenting)
author is required to register and pay the full registration fee, attend the
Congress and make the presentation. Failure of the presenting author to
register for the conference will result in exclusion of the presentation from
the conference presentations. |

Original certificate of presentation
will be awarded to the presenting author only. Please provide an accurate email
address & mobile number of the First (Presenting) author. Abstract
submission results and abstract-related correspondence will be sent by email
to the First author.
ABSTRACT TITLE must be concise (not more than 20 words). Avoid using
abbreviations in the title. Abstract Content (excluding title,
authors, highest degrees and institutions) should include the following
headings: PURPOSE, METHODS, RESULTS, CONCLUSIONS, and FINANCIAL DISCLOSURES.
The abstract must not exceed 300 words. Do not include graphs, tables, images
and references in the abstract. Do not mention in the abstract the names of
any affiliated institutes, academic institutions, hospitals, eye centers,
etc. or names of any individuals involved in the study. |

Change in Abstract
Content will not be possible after Completion of Abstract Submission Please recheck your abstracts before
submission, as improper abstract formats will not be processed. Define each abbreviation the first
time it is used in the abstract by placing what it stands for in parentheses.
It is the author’s responsibility to submit an abstract with correct spelling
and grammar. The Selection Committee, however, reserves the right to edit the
abstract if it has significant spelling and grammatical mistakes.

Winner of Best Free Paper in the Free
paper session for Dr. A.C. Agarwal Trophy (for Delhi Members only) will be
eligible for entry to AIOC-2020 and travel grant to attend the same provided
he/she is willing to present the paper in AIOC-2021. |
b) |
Winner of Best Free Paper in the Free
Paper Session for Dr. T.P. Agarwal Trophy Cornea Session (Delhi Member) will
be awarded the trophy and Certificate of Merit |
c) |
Winner of Best Free paper of all subspecialties will
be awarded “Certificate of Merit” |
E-Posters Submissions: An E-Poster is an electronic version
of the traditional boards, and is displayed on monitor screens using Power
Point slides. E-Poster may include text, figures, tables and images and NO
video/animations. Abstracts submissions for e-posters
should be accompanied by power point presentations (maximum of 8 slides only)
failing which the submission will not be considered for acceptance. (Please
share presentation with complete details and title on conferences@dosonline.org) |

Presenters of submissions for Free
papers that may get accepted as E-posters will be required to submit their
PowerPoint presentation of the e-poster along with the abstract, failing
which their presentations will not be included for consideration for the
Conference Programme. Please note that late submissions will not be accepted. |

a) E-Posters
should consist of a maximum of 8 Microsoft Power Point slides, including
title slide. b) Use Time New
Roman or Arial fonts. Font should be no smaller than 18 points. c) Use the
first slide to show the title of the E-Poster, authors information &
financial interest declaration. d) Pictures and
graphics should be of good quality. Text should not be obscured by images. e) Do not fit
too much information on one slide. Correct spelling and punctuation makes
your poster more attractive and informative f) E-Posters
should contain no video clips/animation files. g) The file
should be not be more than 5 MB (more than this size, it will be rejected
automatically). |

Please note that submissions are
required to conform to international presentation formats. |
|
Video Abstract
Submissions: All abstract submissions for videos is required to be accompanied along with the video (8 minutes video only and in MPEG-1 format). Videos will be evaluated based on their scientific merits, educational values, originality, quality, conciseness, audiovisual effects, and editing skills. Three copies of the video in MPEG-1 format sent complete details and title on conferences@dosonline.org or (Please share presentation with complete details and title separate CDs through courier or speed post) addressed to Prof. Namrata Sharma, Secretary, DOS, should reach the Conference Secretariat by March 10, 2020. Failure to receive the Video Copies on Time will result in Exclusion of The Video Submission. |

6. |
Abstract Submission for Interesting
Cases |
|
a)
The
presentation Time is 6 mins and discussion time is 2 mins. b)
All Free
Paper / E-Poster / E-Video / Interesting Case certificates and awards will be
given to the presenting Author Only. Original certificate of presentation
will be awarded to the presenting author only. c)
The First
(Presenting) author is required to register and pay the full registration
fee, to attend the Conference and make the presentation. |

Successfully submitted abstracts will
be acknowledged with an electronic receipt including an abstract reference
number, which should be quoted in all future correspondence. If you do not
receive the acknowledgement within 48 - 72 hours upon submission, please
contact the Congress Secretariat by email. |
8. |
The Selection Committee strongly
recommends the authors to submit their abstracts as early as possible in
order to avoid congestion in the last-minute. Late submissions will NOT be
considered. Submitted abstracts would be peer-reviewed by the Selection
Committee. The review process is confidential and in case of any dispute, the
decision of the President / General Secretary is final. Authors will be
notified of the abstract selection results by email by March 10, 2020. |

Points To Note |

a)
Each
presenting AUTHOR can submit only a maximum of two free papers, two
E-posters, two videos & two Interesting Cases. b)
Free Paper
presentation should be Power Point presentation for 6 minutes only with a
discussion time of 2 minutes c)
Original
participation certificates will be given to the presenting author ONLY for
all categories of presentation. d)
In the event
of the presenting author not being a ratified DOS member, the presentation
will not be considered for evaluation. |

The Delhi Ophthalmological Society
reserves the right to record and reproduce the materials presented in the
conference in any form for distribution/DOS website display. |

Checklist (Before submission, please check if:) a) Ensure that
the guidelines to submission is read carefully b) The abstract
has a concise, descriptive title; c) The study
has sufficient data leading to conclusive outcomes; d) The names of
any affiliated institutes, academic institutions, hospitals, eye centers,
individuals involved in the study are removed; e) The abstract
states clearly the purpose, methods, results, findings and conclusions of the
study; f) The study
has been conducted in a methodologically correct way; g) the abstract
is proof read and/or edited to correct grammatical and typographic errors. h) the title
& abstract is within the word limit. financial disclosures for each of
the authors are made |
